Live Fascines

Fascines were constructed using live plant materials harvest a few days prior to the demonstration installation. The fascines were 6 to 8 inch in diameter, 8 to 12 feet in length. Plant species used in the fascines included various native dogwood and willow species. Some additional plant species found during harvesting were also included. Plant materials were harvested from several City of Ann Arbor parks in the vicinity of Nichols Arboretum and stored on-site near the demonstration location.
