Goals and Objectives

The goal of this project is to provide a regional-level informational, educational, and training resource and to demonstrate the use of soft engineering and conservation buffer practices to address the problem of streambank and riverbank erosion.

The objective of this project is to identify field demonstration sites, educate project participants in the appropriate application of soft engineering and vegetative buffer techniques, and to demonstrate soft engineering methods. This objective is accomplished through an educational workshop combined with a "hands on" workday where an actual streambank stabilization project is completed.
