The Southeast Michigan Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc. (RC&D council) is a unique organization that helps the people of Southeast Michigan care for, conserve and protect their natural resources in a way that will improve the community's economy, environment and quality of life.
We provide a framework for partnerships between local citizens, governments and technical experts to solve resource concerns, manage and utilize those resources wisely.
We are organized and directed by local people to meet local needs, and serve Lenawee, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties. The RC&D council has a Board of Directors made up of people with an interest in the council area.
We place special emphasis on natural resources, but activities that improve local economies, living standards, historical preservation, and other issues can also be addressed. Local councils identify and solve problems by obtaining assistance from business, government, foundations and local citizens.
